Talk it out.
You don't have to figure this out alone. Tell a parent, teacher, or counselor what you like doing and what you're curious about (even if it feels random). These conversations add up.
Just pay attention to what you like – you'll figure out the rest.
Start noticing what you're good at, what you enjoy, and what kind of classes light you up.

Before high school starts, you'll map out your courses and credits with your counselor. It's not permanent — you can adjust it — but it's your first real step toward graduation.
3
Take a career quiz. Poke around a few career clusters. You're not committing to anything, you're just collecting clues.

This year, you'll create a four-year plan that helps you stay on track for graduation and maps out classes to take based on your interests (don't worry, if your interests change the plan will too!).

No – not even close. This year is about noticing patterns, not making decisions.
You’ll use it when you register for 9th grade classes – and don’t forget to share it with your parents! You’ll need to get their signature on both the plan and the registration forms.
Not yet. Pre-admission happens automatically senior year based on your grades. For now, just focus on doing well in your classes.
You can. It’s a starting point, not a contract — just talk to your counselor any time you want to adjust it. Just remember, when your interests change, your plan will too.
